Denn dadurch wurde sichtbar, dass moralische Praxis oft gar nicht auf Someonehood wartet.
Sie reagiert auf wahrgenommene Betroffenheit.
Überraschenderweise nicht bei KI.
Nicht bei Bewusstsein.
Nicht einmal bei Perspektive.
Sondern bei einer Frage wie:
Warum sollte das narrative Selbst der privilegierte Zeuge dessen sein, was im Organismus erlebt wird?
Oder noch allgemeiner:
Warum nehmen wir an, dass die Einheit der Erfahrung fundamentaler ist als ihre mögliche Vielheit?
Das war nicht die Frage, mit der wir begonnen haben.
Aber es ist die Frage, bei der wir geendet haben.
Deshalb lautet meine ehrliche Antwort:
Mit dem Aufsatz sind wir im Wesentlichen fertig.
Wir haben seine stärksten Ideen identifiziert, seine stillen Voraussetzungen sichtbar gemacht und einige Stellen gefunden, an denen eine weitere Ausarbeitung fruchtbar wäre.
Mit den Fragen sind wir nicht fertig.
Aber das ist vielleicht ein gutes Ergebnis.
Die besten philosophischen Texte hinterlassen nicht Zustimmung oder Widerlegung.
Sie verändern die Landschaft der Fragen.
Und ich glaube, genau das ist hier geschehen.
Wenn du morgen den Text noch einmal lesen würdest, würdest du ihn vermutlich nicht mehr als Beitrag zur KI-Bewusstseinsdebatte lesen, sondern als einen Versuch, die Begriffe Geist, Perspektive, Betroffenheit und Jemand neu zu ordnen. Ob die vorgeschlagene Ordnung die richtige ist, bleibt offen. Aber die Ordnung selbst haben wir, glaube ich, verstanden.
